Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.11-29-2016

Giving Tuesday is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

In fact, Giving Tuesday was started in 2012 by the 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation as a response to commercialization and consumerism in the post-Thanksgiving season.

Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many individuals focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.  It is also the time of year when most nonprofit organizations receive the majority of contributions from individual donors.

Giving Tuesday is an important part of The Wildwoods Foundation’s annual fundraising plan. But more than just raising money, it is a time to for our supporters to help spread the word about the work that we do.

This year, Giving Tuesday is on November 29, 2016.  Please remember to drop by our Facebook page, our LinkedIn page, our Twitter feed or our Instagram page to see how you can get involved.
