Full Circle Students Plant Echo Park Trees

As their culminating service project for the Wildwoods Foundation's Full Circle program, Mr. Powels' fifth-grade class at Clifford Street Elementary School partnered with the LA Conservation Corps to help beautify their community by planting trees in the neighborhood surrounding the school.

Appropriately, the planting took place on Thursday, April 23 - the day between Earth Day and Arbor Day.

"We feel very fortunate to participate in the Full Circle program," said Clifford Principal Kerry Kehrley.  "It provides our students hands-on opportunities to make a positive change in their neighborhood."

This project is part of the city's Million Trees LA initiative and the Green LA program.

You can support the Full Circle program and help provide more of these opportunities for local school children by making a tax-deductible contribution.
